YEMEN (August 2011 - Present)
With a leading humanitarian donor in Yemen, ensuring humanitarian needs are being met in line with donor's guidelines and principles. Partenering with a number of international organisations and Non-Governmental Organisations.
LIBERIA (February 2011 - May 2011)
On behalf of a leading international organisation TAPS4all coordinated relief activities in Liberia and other countries bordering Ivory Coast. An estimated 180.000 + refugees had crossed the border from Ivory Coast, following the violence that erupted after the contentious election result in that country were presented. The final proposal had been accepted and funding acquired.
SRI LANKA (October 2010)
A consultancy by TAPS4all has been completed with the presentation of a Concept Note (including budget & Logframe) for a consortium of Agencies in Sri Lanka. The Concept Note describes a Food Security and Livelihood project. The 2 million Euro project is expected to be awarded soon and to start this month.
SRI LANKA (July 2010)
TAPS4all succesfully completed a market survey for a European manufacturer of hand pumps for tubewells, looking into the opportunities and possibilities to enter the Sri Lankan market. This survey covered more than 120 hand pumps and its users in 14 districts (covering 6 of 9 provinces) in Sri Lanka. It also addressed production, importation, and distribution possibilities in Sri Lanka.
The final report has been approved by our client in August 2010.
HAITI (May 2010)
The 12 January earthquake that hit Haiti would never had the dramatic death toll, if the country had been in a better shape. Unfortunately due to urbanisation, environmental degradadation, lack of leadership and instability, well over 220.000 people lost their lives and reportedly 1,5 million are homeless. Damages and losses are estimated at around 10 billion USDollars.
A recent assessment and evaluation on behalf of a major international organisation in April and May 2010, shows that there is a possibility for recovery in Haiti. 10 different aspects are treated in the report that identifies ways forward for the organisation, enabling it to play a leading role in the recovery of Haiti.
SRI LANKA (March 2010)
TAPS4all wrote a project proposal for an international non-for-profit organisation, working in Sri Lanka, to an international donor. The proposal to the value of 430,000 USD, dealt with measures in country to reduce the likelihood for illegal migration from Sri Lanka.
In June the news came in that the proposal had passed the scrutiny of the donor and had been accepted.
